Due to the current situation in the country and in the World, on purpose to limit distribution of COVID – 19 from October 26th to December 31th Riga Aeronautical Institute (RAI) will be organizing studying process in the Moodle environment (estud.rai.lv). Practical trainings will be conducted at institute.

On 9th of October Riga Aeronautical Institute convened an annual administrative and methodological meeting for management,  teaching staff, administration and members of the student government.
The Chairman of the Convent, Senior Vice President M. Karol summarized the academic, administrative and financial results of the 2019/20 academic year. Plans for the development and work of the institute for 2020/21 year were approved during the meeting. M. Karol introduced new employees to the meeting participants and acquainted the audience with their job responsibilities.
In his presentation the Chairman of the Senate D. Ulanov presented to the audience the concept of the RAI Senate. Academic tasks were set before professors by the Vice-Rector of Studies K. Savenkov.
The rector of the institute A. Melnis in his speech told about the education programs accreditation, as well as goals and objectives for their development.
The Deputy of the Dean A. Tilla informed the audience about the results of the work of the Admission Commission.
The annual administrative and methodological meeting is important for the development of the institute's activities and further successful work of RAI in the education and scientific spheres.

The meeting will take place at 13.00, auditory 003. The visitors will have a possibility to ask questions about enrollment and study opportunities. They will also have a possibility to see the RAI premises.

Due to the epidemiological situation in the world, the deadline for the submission of documents at the Riga Aeronautical Institute for the 2020/2021 study year has been extended till 30 September.

For International students who have submitted the documents to the first course may be granted a specially equipped space to carry out 10 days of self-isolation only after a prior arrangement by phone: +371 67677831

Riga Aeronautical Institute is enrolling the applicants for the year 2020/2021 for all accredited programs and study directions.

Documents for admission to RAI full-time studies (deadline till 15th of September), for part-time and full-time with cycles (deadline till 30th of September):

This week was a special week for the Institute to celebrate it’s 78th birthday on the 15th of July.
It was a big pleasure to hear a congratulatory speech delivered by Vice-president Mihail Karol and other colleagues.
A long journey has been gone through with challenges on the road, yet new great goals, outstanding achievements and continued success are still to come. Congratulations to its staff and students!

On July 10th, 2020, at the Riga Aeronautical Institute, students of the study programme "Aircraft Technical Maintenance" completed practical training on metal working. It was supervised by the Director of Engineering programmes, Vladimirs Reiskarts and the responsible lector of RAI, Vyacheslav Orekhov.
Trainees had the opportunity to gain basic metalworking skills. Students learned how to prepare technical drawings, use measuring instruments and tools for making samples. Students also practiced in threading, riveting, soldering and metal welding.

One of the important parts of the study programme "Aircraft Technical Maintenance" is "Helicopter practical training". From 29.06. till 03.07. it was organized at the training centre of the RAI and was led by Juha Ollila, a certified specialist from Finland, and Vladimir Reiskarts, the Director of Engineering study programmes. The aim of the internship was to provide students with an understanding of the general aircraft maintenance processes, to learn how to set up practically helicopter parts. Students had a chance to work independently with assemblies, to remove and install parts of it, and to get new knowledge in aircraft documentation.
