On September 4, Riga Aeronautical Institute (RAI) officially opened the 2026/2027 academic year. The ceremonial event was opened by RAI Vice-Rector for Studies K. Savenkov, who welcomed the students and wished them a successful and inspiring academic year filled with new knowledge and achievements. Warm words of welcome were also shared by RAI Rector I. Blumbergs, who highlighted the importance of knowledge, determination and professional development in achieving future goals.The students were also addressed by V. Reikarts, the program director of the electronics study program, as well as other RAI representatives. A special moment of the ceremony was the*recognition of students for their outstanding achievements during the 2025/2026 academic year. RAI Certificates of Appreciation were presented to students who demonstrated excellent academic results and actively contributed to the social and community life of the Institute. A special welcome goes to our first-year students, who are beginning their academic journey at RAI this year! May this new chapter be filled with exciting opportunities, new friendships, valuable knowledge and your first professional achievements.The RAI administration and academic staff wish all students curiosity, creativity, determination and the courage to reach ever higher goals!
